Product Contact Points (PCP) provide information on requirements for placing a product on the market in a specific Member State, when the requirements are not harmonized on an EU level. It also provides contact information of responsible authorities. Product Contact Points provide information in 15 business days and the service is free of charge.

The Latvian Product Contact Point also encompasses the Product Contact Point for Construction (PCPC) in Latvia, as established by Construction Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011. It provides a reliable and precise information free of charge on rules applicable to the incorporation, assembling or installation of a specific type of construction product. It also provides information about provisions aimed at fulfilling basic requirements for construction works applicable to the intended use of each construction product in the territory of a Member State.
