Latvian tourism policy is grounded in a coherent set of regulatory frameworks that are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect evolving market conditions, sustainability objectives, and international best practice.
Latvia’s strategic objective is to enhance the competitiveness of its tourism offering by developing sustainable tourism products that strengthen international appeal, reduce seasonality, and encourage longer visitor stays.
Accordingly, tourism products are expected to be environmentally and socially sustainable, innovation-driven, export-oriented, and of high quality, while fostering meaningful visitor engagement and generating high added value for the national economy.
