" Home cafe days are far more than a gastronomic event - a platform that strengthens the region's economy, local business and Community confidence. . Every destination that engages creates new collaborations, attracts visitors and allows locals to become messengers in their area m.. This initiative proves that growth starts with people - with the idea, the courage to open their fence and their story. . I invite local governments, tourism information centres and active representatives of communities to apply for the role of destination coordinators and jointly create a strong, diverse and authentic summer offer of Latvia in 2026," emphasizes Minister of economics Viktors Valainis.

This role helps to ensure that the offer created in each destination is transparent, timely and high-quality.
The essence of participants, or “home cafes,” is an authentic visiting experience: participants can include locals opening their homes, as well as businesses that don't offer meals on a daily basis (such as farms, factories, museums, lodging), or existing catering businesses with a particularly different supply.
Organizers of the shall ensure promotion of the campaign: joint marketing activities and advertising campaigns (social networks, the press, TV and radio), a single website with information on destinations and participants, online training (t. . s K.. on food chain requirements and marketing) as well as information support on issues related to the possibility for non-commercial participants to operate during the event.
