As of Friday, August 1, amendments to the Construction Regulations concerning the implementation of small-scale construction projects have come into force – from now on, new small buildings in villages, rural areas, and urban areas where construction is permitted may be built without any documentation.
This will significantly speed up the implementation of small construction projects, reduce bureaucracy, and cut down on the volume of documents that were previously required. This is particularly important in rural regions, where these simplifications will foster activity and development.
With the entry into force of the amendments, no construction project documentation is required for the new construction or placement of a small building (up to 25 m²) in villages and rural areas (except in areas of state-protected cultural monuments), nor for the new construction or placement of a small building in a city plot where the construction of a single-family or two-family residential house is permitted (except in areas of state-protected cultural monuments). Such buildings include greenhouses, small saunas, sheds, and others.
The amendments were adopted in accordance with the tasks set out in the Cabinet of Ministers’ information report “On Priority Measures for Reducing Bureaucracy in 2025”, approved at the Cabinet meeting of April 22, 2025, in the field of construction.
