In 2025, the labour market has developed a positive dynamic – after two years of decline, the number of employed has resumed increasing.

In the 4 th quarter of 2025, the number of employed persons increased by 1.8% or 15.6 thousand in comparison with the 4 th quarter of 2024, according to the Central Statistical Bureau Labour force Survey.  On average, the number of people employed rose 0.6%, or 5.6 thousand, in 2025 compared to 2024. 

The increase in the number of employed in 2025 was largely due to the increase in economic activity in the national economy. The most significant increase in labour force was observed in trade, professional, scientific and technical services, manufacturing, as well as public services.

In the 4 th quarter of 2025, 882.8 thousand inhabitants, or 64.8% of all inhabitants aged 15-74, were employed in the . . On average, the number employed in 2025 accounted for 883.1 thousand, while the employment rate was 64.5 percent, a 0.5 percentage point higher creator than in 2024. the
