I.Beināre konfernces atklāšanā

On October 28, the “ATTA” Center hosted the “Housing 2025” conference, during which industry experts shared their experience on building renovation, apartment owners’ associations, and collaboration with property managers. The winners of the “Neatest Latvian Apartment Building Yard 2025” contest were also awarded.

At the “Housing 2025” conference, the management of apartment buildings in a competitive market environment was discussed. The event also presented the results of a State Audit Office survey, highlighting the main obstacles that hinder building renovations.

The conference was attended by Ilze Beināre, Deputy State Secretary for Housing Policy at the Ministry of Economics (MoE), and Mārtiņš Auders, Director of the MoE Housing Policy Department, who provided a detailed presentation on the registry of apartment owners’ associations and the management of “unassumed” residential buildings.

The contest finalists included courtyards at: Mālkalnes Prospekts 31, Ogre; Lapu iela 6, Ogre; Dzelzceļnieku iela 19, Rēzekne; Krāslavas iela 7, Riga; Kurzemes Prospekts 14, Riga; Mērsraga iela 9, Riga; Smiltenāju iela 12, Ikšķile; Rīgas iela 41A, Iecava; Liepu iela 8, Rītausmas, Bauska Municipality; Strēlnieku Prospekts 72/74, Jūrmala; Muižas iela 19, Jūrmala; and Kāpu iela 95, Jūrmala.

The contest evaluates the overall visual appeal of the courtyard, creativity and originality in courtyard landscaping, adherence to sustainability principles in courtyard management, and the involvement of the community or apartment owners’ association.

The top three courtyards in each of the four categories will receive the main category prize of €750, and one of the finalists will receive the grand prize – “Neatest Latvian Apartment Building Yard 2025” – along with a €1,500 gift card.
