For the 15th year, within the framework of the “Live Warmer” campaign, the “Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia” competition has been announced. Its aim is to promote best practices in building energy efficiency and sustainability through the construction, renovation, and reconstruction of energy-efficient buildings, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing public awareness of wellbeing, building thermal performance, indoor microclimate, and the importance and possibilities of reducing greenhouse gas emissions while creating high-quality, architecturally expressive living spaces.

Applications for the “Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2025” competition were accepted until June 18, 2025. A total of 36 buildings were submitted across five categories. The award ceremony for the competition winners is planned for September 2025.

The competition is organized by the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Climate and Energy, and the Latvian Association of Building Engineers.
