Projekta partneru koppilde Porto

In February, representatives of the SKALE2CT project visited Portugal, participating in a study visit organized by the project partners in Porto. The main topic of the visit was the creation, monitoring, and improvement of support instruments for startups.

During the study visit, Latvia was represented by project partners from the Ministry of Economics, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as a representative from the Latvian Investment and Development Agency, the national working group of the project.

During the partner meeting, participants had the opportunity to learn about the opportunities offered by Portugal for startups, including innovative tools, support programs, and networking opportunities.

Participants also visited the companies "PICadvanced" and "iLOF". "PICadvanced" is focused on the telecommunications market, offering innovative and reliable receivers and optical component lines, concentrating on providing cost-effective solutions and utilizing existing and future technologies. Meanwhile, "iLOF" develops a cloud-based optical fingerprint library powered by photonics and artificial intelligence, providing non-invasive screening and drug discovery tailored to the needs of each clinical trial. On the second day of the study visit, a project partner meeting took place, where the progress of the project’s implementation was discussed, the funding progress of the project partners was analyzed, and potential risks were identified.

The project is funded by the Interreg Europe program.
