The jury of the “Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2025” competition has completed the evaluation of this year’s submitted projects, and the winners will be honored at the closing ceremony on September 18.
Media representatives are also invited to attend the competition’s closing event, which will take place on September 18 at 14:30 at the EviArt Gallery (Bukultu iela 7, k 12). Registration to attend the event is mandatory – please register by September 17 at 12:00 here. About the competition
Applications for the “Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2025” competition were accepted until June 18. This year, a total of 36 building applications were submitted across five categories. During the summer, the competition jury evaluated all submissions and conducted on-site assessments of the buildings selected for the second round. The results are currently being compiled to determine this year’s most energy-efficient buildings. You can view the buildings submitted to the competition here.
The competition is organized by the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Climate and Energy, and the Latvian Association of Civil Engineers. The competition rules were prepared in cooperation with partners of the “Dzīvo siltāk” information campaign, including the Latvian Association of Property Managers, the Latvian Association of Window and Door Manufacturers, Riga Technical University, Riga Stradiņš University, the Association of Building Material Manufacturers, the Latvian Association of Heat, Gas and Water Technology Engineers, the Sustainable Construction Council, the State Construction Control Bureau, the State Fire and Rescue Service, SIA “Publisko aktīvu pārvaldītājs Possessor”, the Rural Support Service, AS “Sadales tīkls”, the Central Finance and Contracting Agency, and the Energy and Environment Agency.
The competition is co-financed by EU funds. Supporters of the competition include SIA “Paroc”, SIA “Saint-Gobain Celtniecības produkti”, SIA “Rockwool”, Development Finance Institution Altum, AS “Latvenergo”, VentSys, “Rīgas siltums”, AS “Sadales tīkls”, and SIA “Robert Bosch”.
