The memorandum of cooperation to ensure fair commercial practices in the area of organising events and selling tickets is signed by 12 new members

On October 2, during the 4th autumn session of the Latvian Event Forum, 12 new participants signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on fair commercial practices in the field the organisation of events and sales of tickets: hosts of “Pasākumu ekspo 2019” SIA “Hanzas perons”, Liepaja Olympic Centre, several event technical support companies – SIA “Bruno Pro”, SIA “3S”, SIA “Tent For Event Baltic” and “Behind the Doors”, as well as event producers – SIA “L Tips Agency”, SIA “Bumbieris Music”, banquet service providers Cantus Group, society “World in the Pocket”, event presenter Māris Krastiņš and piano player and composer Genādijs Griņko.

 

At the same time, the head of SIA “Hanzas perons” Ieva Irbina confirmed that the Latvian Association of Event Venues, which is being created and will unite the largest event venues in Latvia, will also join the Memorandum of Cooperation after the completion of creation of the association.

 

During the 4th autumn session of the Latvian Event Forum, the Ministry of Economics informed the operators of the sector about the nature of the Memorandum of Cooperation, the advantages provided to undertakings and the possibilities to join it. We also invite other industry operators to join the Memorandum of Cooperation by sending a letter to CRPC.

 

As it is known, on 8 August the Ministry of Economics, the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (CRPC), the Latvian Association of Event Producers, SIA “Untitled”, SIA “L Tips”, SIA “Arēna Rīga”, as well as major ticket traders in Latvia SIA “Biļešu serviss”, SIA “BEZRINDAS.LV” and SIA “Ekase” signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on fair commercial practices in the field the organisation of events and sales of tickets. On 28 August, the memorandum was also signed by SIA “Rīgas nami”, which provides events in three event centres – the event centre “Rīgas Kongresu nams”, the movie theatre “Splendid Palace” and the event centre “Melngalvju nams”.
