Minister of Economics Viktors Valainis is participating in a high-level meeting with business leaders and investors. The meeting is taking place at the residence of U.S. President Donald Trump, Mar-a-Lago, in Florida.
During the visit, cooperation and investment opportunities were discussed in technology, financial markets, energy, and other strategically important sectors. The meeting was held at the residence of U.S. President Donald Trump and brought together several executives and representatives of major U.S. companies and investment funds.
Minister of Economics Viktors Valainis emphasized Latvia’s interest in strengthening transatlantic economic cooperation: “This meeting with leading U.S. entrepreneurs is an important step in expanding economic relations between Latvia and the United States of America. Latvia is open to high value-added investments in the technology, financial, and energy sectors. We see broad opportunities for cooperation, especially in the development of innovation and the digital economy, and we are ready to be a reliable partner for long-term investment projects.”
The meeting was also attended by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., as well as Alex Witkoff and Zach Witkoff.
As part of the visit, individual discussions were also held with potential investors regarding specific cooperation projects across the Baltic region.
The Ministry of Economics notes that such high-level meetings enhance Latvia’s international competitiveness and strengthen the country’s position in the global investment market.
