On July 2nd, an inter-ministerial meeting on the future development of Latvia's space policy was held at the Ministry of Economics. Given the rapid growth of the global space economy and Latvia’s surprisingly broad and dynamic space sector, it is essential to ensure its strategic development and effective governance. Latvia is currently home to around 70 companies operating in a range of specialized niches and technological fields — from innovative materials and instruments like globally unique gyroscopes and ultra-precise time-measurement devices, to microelectronics and satellite data.
